The Studio

Overlooking Gore Mountain in North River, NY Garnet Studio is located in the midst of the finest garnet deposits in the Adirondack mountains.

The studio is owned and operated by Joe and Judy Brown. Joe is a retired school teacher who has been cutting stones for over 30 years. Judy cuts cabochons and designs and sets the stones in 14K gold and silver jewelry.

When Joe retired two years ago they moved up to their family homestead in North River where they built a studio attached to their home. Their specialty is Adirondack Garnet but the store offers a large variety of gems from all over the world. From Sapphires to Tourmaline, there is much to look at. They also offer custom jewelery designed with their customer in mind
